Origins
Aravel was born among the high elves of the cloud-ringed Skyreach Isles, where her storm magic first took shape. As a young sorcerer, she captained her own spelljammer, riding the phlogiston currents between spheres in search of wonders, storms, and worthy foes. Her daring voyages made her a legend among starfarers, and her command of wind and lightning became unmatched. Her final mortal feat—calming a planar cyclone that threatened to tear apart the Aerivagus Sphere—earned her the awe of the lightning deity himself, who gave up his divine spark and joined his essence to hers, crowning her the new Lady of Storms.
Description
Aravel manifests as a tall elven woman wreathed in stormlight, her silver hair a tumbling squall and her eyes lit with flickering arcs. Her presence is electric—vital, unpredictable, and brimming with motion. Tempests often herald her attention, and her voice rides the thunder. Her worship is informal and alive: storm-prayers howled into the wind, offerings cast into crashing surf, and tattoos inked in tribute to the sky’s fury.
Dogma
Ride the storm, don’t shun it. Be bold, be free, and answer injustice like the sky answers stillness—with thunder. Challenge the static, lift others with your winds, and let no tyrant claim your skies. Aravel teaches that courage is lightning: sudden, bright, and born in the heart of a storm.
Home Sphere
Aravel hails from the Aerivagus Sphere, a realm of shattered worlds and ceaseless winds bound to the Cyclone Gate, a swirling breach to the Elemental Plane of Air. Amid its drifting debris fields and roving wildspace storms lies Serith Ventus, once a world of life, now a fragmented skyborne grave. It was here, above the broken rivers and suspended mountains, that Aravel first touched the divine through storm and sorcery. The winds of Aerivagus still echo her name, carried forever through the ruined heavens.
