Origins
Kharzhalek began as a Duergar psion deep within the cavernous underrealms of Radicula, honing his mind amid stone and silence. In time, he rose to challenge the elemental hierarchy, wielding both psychic might and cunning ambition. When a rival deity shattered the former Lord of Earth, Kharzhalek seized the mantle. Cast into the Plane of Earth, he was buried under ages of pressure until he reemerged as something more than mortal—a Dao of unyielding will and mineral flesh.
Description
Though transformed, Kharzhalek still bears the broad, squat frame and bald stone-gray scalp of his Duergar past. His body, now a fusion of crystalline rock and ancient flesh, pulses faintly with psionic veins that trace his dwarven lineage like glowing fissures. His beard is wrought of braided ore and quartz, and his eyes burn with deep violet light. Worshipers speak of his presence as a pressure in the mind and a weight on the soul. His temples, carved into forgotten veins of stone, hum with silent obedience and psychic command.
Dogma
Earth remembers. Those who harness its strength, its silence, and its memory deserve dominion. Crush the hollow and hollow the strong. Possession and subjugation are the truest forms of legacy. Thought should be a hammer, and wealth the weight that swings it.
Home Sphere
Kharzhalek hails from the Lapis Sphere, a realm of psionic resonance and stonebound silence. He is most venerated on Radicula and within the hidden psionic colonies scattered through the Cinctum Veneris. The planet’s Archivum Mentis, with its memory-etched stones and caretakers of mold, is believed to have recorded the first tremors of his ascension. His influence pulses in the thoughts that drift between asteroids, in the echoes of ancient authority buried beneath stone, and in the weight of unspoken tyranny that hangs over every silent temple.
