Overview

As with most forested areas on the continent, the woods here are mostly dominated by followers of Trelanni, the elven goddess, and members of the Sylvan Sect. While the forest itself is located within the Imperium, and the Imperium claims it as theirs, the Sylvan Sect still occupies it with much resistance from the Imperium. The inside remains mostly unexplored by outsiders, so there are little to no maps available of the area. Any maps of the area are located in the wood, and in the hands of the few who are allowed to travel in and out of it. What can be said of the area, however, is that those who enter normally do not leave. Those that do leave, do not do so with their memories intact, as the magics present in the wood wipe memory. The conditions for this are as yet unknown to the outside world.

Legends hold that there is a manifest zone located inside that can take travelers to the Feywild. Where on the plane you are taken is unknown, however there are rumors that this is how the Sylvan Sect travels between it's territories, as every time the wood has come under attack, it is defended by a legion greater than normal. It is for this reason that the Imperium has attempted to seize it multiple times, as they view it as a tactical advantage.
